     Presents:

TEXAS

Want to hunt some of those huge whitetail deer in Texas you've always heard about?

They've got LOTS of them and they're BIG, just like everything else in Texas!!

Wildlife Connections

TEXAS; OLD MEXICO & WYOMING....

We take pride in managing trophy caliber ranches and our goal is to manage for the best animal the area can produce.  We hunt entirely large private ranches and only harvest appropriate numbers of mature,  quality,  free-ranging animals...Jimmy Fontenot;   "Wildlife Connections."

We utilize guides who are professional sportsmen familiar with the country and species of animal hunted.

Jimmy Fontenot (Owner/Outfitter - "Wildlife Connections") was raised in this region of Texas and has become extremely famiiliar with the quality and management of the Whitetail Deer.  Upon graduation from college, with a Masters Degree in Range and Wildlife Management, he was hired to teach undergraduate "Range and Wildlife" courses.  During this time,  Jimmy had the privilege of managing a quality Whitetail ranch while developing a comprehensive understanding of what makes for a successful hunting enterprise.

With the education and practical field experience from managing a large Texas ranch in 1992,  Jimmy began to fulfill his lifelong dream of supplying landowners professional guidance while offering hunters the best possible hunting experience for the money.   So began "Wildlife Connections, Inc.",  with a spirit of enthusiasm and professionalisn unmatched by many outfits.

Trey Garmon came to work for "Wildlife Connections" in 1993.  He brings with him a love of hte outdoors and a degree in "Animal Science/ Wildlife Management."  Trey serves as head of guides and oversees all ranch related activities.

We are glad you are taking time to review our brochure information.  Sportsmanship and fair chase are a high priority on our hunts.  Although we make no guarantees as the hunter success,  as professionals, we will do our very best to provide you that hunt you will always remember.

TEXAS:  Each ranch is under strict supervision of a "Wildlife Connections" biologist and only appropriate numbers of animals are harvested.

Our Whitetail program encompasses over 50,000 acres and hunts range from 4 to 5 days, depending on time of year and deer activity.

Package Price:

4 Day Hunt = $1,995.00 - $2,700.00

Non-Resident Permits = $250.00

We utilize 1 guide per 2 hunters and accommodations are either houses or lodges.

Regular Guided Hunt - Harvest: 1 Buck, 2 Does, 1 Turkey.

Deposits: A 50% deposit will "secure" your hunt. Deposits are non-refundable. Balance due 30 days prior to hunt.

OLD MEXICO: "Wildlife Connections" also hunt some of the finest ranches Old Mexico has to offer.  Situated in the trophy regions of the states of Nuevo Leon and Coahuila,   these ranches have produced their share of quality whitetails.  Single and double drop tines are not uncommon and wide spreads with multiple tines are the norm.

Expect bucks to score in the minimum 130 class;  average between 145-160 class B&C and the potential for a record book head is ever present.

Only 6 hunters are taken per hunt and the hunt totals 5 days.  We have taken trophy bucks from tower blinds, vehicle blinds, stalking and rattling... so,  every technique will work at any given time.

COST:  $3,950 plus Mexico permits and Consulate letter.  Hunts are 5-days and includes transportation into Mexico, guides, meals and lodging;  High rack vehicles, portable tripods. Hunter may harvest "one" trophy buck.

WYOMING: "Wildlife Connections" hunts approximately 100,000 acres in the Rolling Plains region of South Central Wyoming  Hunting is solely on large private ranches where hunting pressure islimited and game is managed.

We take very few hunters on each ranch;  therefore, space is limited and hunts fill up quickly.  By taking fewer hunters,  we increase our success ratio on mature animals.

Antelope bucks will range from 12 to 16 inches of horn length with 13-14 being common. Mule Deer bucks will average 4 points per side, excluding brow points with 22-30 inch inside spreads.

COST:  3-Day Antelope Hunt = $1,200.00

5-Day Combo Hunt = $2,300 plus $750 Trophy Fee                                             (Antelope)

4-Day Deer Hunt = $2,400.00

"Do It Yourself" Antelope hunt..3-days = $450.00
