Hunt with "Bear Creek Outfitters" of Silver City, New Mexico. Your guide and host is Lou Probo. Lou caters to both rifle and bowhunters. He is a longtime bowhunter himself, having bowhunted for the past 30 years. All hunt costs include full guide service, all meals, lodging, horses and tack (if needed), field dressing and packing out of game, meat and trophy care and airport pick-up and delivery. Lou says, "I keep my camps small to insure a more personal and quality hunt." Elk camp is limited to 4-6 hunters; deer camp = 6; bear = 4-6; sheep = 1; antelope = 6-8. "Bear Creek Outfitters'" hunt prices are fair and reasonable and very competitive with other outfitters.

Archery and rifle hunts for: Trophy Bull Elk, Mule Deer, Black Bear, Antelope, Bighorn Sheep, Javelina and a variety of exotics, such as Persian Ibex, Oryx and Mouflon-Corsican Sheep. License application deadline is mid-April. Good odds for drawing for elk/archery licenses. Many "Combo" hunts at great rates are available. Spring turkey hunts for Merrian species.

Lion-Bear Combo: Oct. 1 - Dec. 15; 6 day/1 man = $2,500

Lion-Javelina Combo: Feb. 1-15; 8 day = $800

Javelina-Coyote Combo: $1,200

Rifle Antelope: Southeast-Private Land; Sept.16 -17; 2 day = $1,600

Antelope-Catalina Goat (Exotic) Combo: 3 day(Private Land) = $2,200 for 1 animal; $2,600 for two animals.

Archery Mule Deer: Jan.1-15; Late Season Rut Hunt; 5 day = $1,800

Rocky Mountain Bighorn: Dec.27 - Jan 5; 9 day hunt = $4,000.

Desert Bighorn: Nov. 1-30 = 9 day hunt = $4,000.

Spring Turkey: April 15 - May 10; 3 day hunt; = $800

Archery Trophy Bull Elk: September Hunts; 6 or 5 day hunt for $2,250

1st Hunt(6 day)= Sept 1-6; 2nd hunt(6 day) =Sept. 8-13; 3rd Hunt (5 day)= Sept. 20-24.

Archery Mule Deer: Sept 1-20 (6 day hunt) $1,800

Fall Black Bear (All color phases): Oct. 1 - Dec. 15 (6 day) = $1,800

Rifle Trophy Bull Elk: 5 Day hunts; 1st hunt; Oct. 14-18; = $2,700 2nd hunt; Oct. 21-25; = $2,700.

Rifle Elk-Bear Combo: 10 day hunt; during October; $4,000.

Rifle Mule Deer: November hunts... 1st hunt (3 day); Oct. 30 - Nov.1 = $1,250; 2nd Hunt (3 day); Nov. 3-5 = $1,250 3rd Hunt (5 day); Nov. 8-12 = $2,000.

Rifle Deer - Bear Combo: during November.. 7 day hunt; $3,000.

Muzzleloader Mule Deer: Sept 25 - Oct. 3; 5 day hunt; $2,000.

Oryx ... 2 day hunts for $1,500. Dec. 16-17; 28-31; Jan. 6-7; 13-14; 20-21; Feb. 3-4.

Persian Ibex: 5 day hunt = $2,000. Dec. 16-31 (Rifle); Jan. 20-Feb. 4 (Bow); Feb. 17-25 (Muzzleloader)

*All elk, orys, ibex, bighorn sheep and javelina licenses are issued on a lottery drawing. Application deadline is April 22nd. All other tags are unliminted and can be purchased over the counter. NOTE: Bear tags must be purchased at least 2 days prior to hunting. Lion tags must be purchased at least 5 days prior to hunting.
