MARYLAND
Muddy Marsh Outfitters:
Hunt Matyland's "Sika" deer with "Muddy Marsh Outfitters" of
Cambridge, MD. T.J. Jenkins is your experienced guide outfitter.
Sika deer were released on James Island in 1916. Their numbers have increased
dramatically, widely spreading thru Dorchester County. The "Sika" is a close
relative to the new world elk and is very "vocal". Bugling stags and chirping
does closely duplicate the Rocky Mountain Elk. Boggy marshes and swamps are where they
live. Trophy stags will weigh around 85-90 pounds with 5-6 point racks sweeping toward the
rump.
"Muddy Marsh Outfitters" invites you to come on an affordable bowhunt for
Maryland's miniature elk ... the Sika Deer. Stand sites consist of baited permanent
locations as well as portable stands allowing one to move with the rutting stags.
