Conman's Hunting guide Service
Hunt with Mike & Connie Noles, and Alex Harrell, Chief Guide, on/near the shores of Lake Phelps. Excellent opportunities for Whitetail Deer, Black Bear; Geese, Ducks and Tundra Swan. "Conman's" offers guided hunts for these. For whitetail deer and black bear hunts, they offer a wide variety of stand placements. All are permanent tree stands, shooting houses and tripods. Deer stand placements vary from agricultural field edges to pine thickets with food plots. Some deer stands are baited (legal in N.C.), but our hunters have a choice to hunt stands that are not baited. All bear stands border agricultural fields or swamp land and we entice them with natural food plots. Baiting bear in N.C. is illegal at this time.
Conman's also manage's for both quail and rabbit, and has organized dove shoots.
Lodging available at "Conman's" facilities. Prepare your own meals in their furnished houses/apartments. Lodges and campground facilities are located on Lake Phelps, so there is also always the opportunity to take a break from hunting and venture out into the lake to try for bream and largemouth bass.
We have an onsite sport shop that has most of the necessities for hunters and fishermen, and we are license agents for the N.C. Wildlife Resources commission. We are also a certified wildlife checking station.

Price list:
Archery - $100 / day ; Max. 8 hunters per day.
Black Powder / Gun - $125 / day; Max. 18 hunters per day.
**Group discounts... 10% discount for party of 4 or more.. (Deer hunts only!)
Fee includes field handling and cooler storage of deer. Nominal fee for dressing and quartering animals at hunters request.
Waterfowl - $125 per day; Swan - $100 per day; Quail, Rabbit, Dove - Call for rates!
Black Bear:
$1,750 for a 3 day hunt package that includes lodging and meals plus a two deer a day bonus. There is no "Trophy Fee." We will book only 8 hunters per "3-Day package." Tentative package dates for 2000 season are: Nov.6,7,8; Nov.9,10,11; Dec. 11,12,13; and Dec. 14,15,16. STILL HUNTING (from stands) ONLY FOR BEAR!
